2025 restock of the 1995 release. Overton “The Scientist” Brown, a veritable master of the mixing console, has been a pivotal figure in dub since the late 1970s. Beginning his career as a teenager at King Tubby’s famed Waterhouse studio, Brown earned his nickname for his inventive and almost mystical manipulation of sound, blending technology and creativity in ways that opened doors to new, unexplored realms of dub music.
