Gucci Mane aka Guwop born Radric Davis has lived the life he raps about.  One of the first artists in Atlanta to hone the style of Trap Music, Gucci dropped his first mixtape in 2001 and followed up with an indie release of his debut studio album Trap House in 2005 which featured production by an upcoming producer Zaytoven who would become a long-time Gucci Mane collaborator.  With several mixtapes and five independent studio albums under his belt, Gucci Mane beat a murder charge in 2006 and was in and out of jail when he signed a deal with Warner Music Group in 2009 for his label 1017 Brick Squad that would include label mates OJ Da Juiceman and Waka Flocka Flame.

His major label debut The State Vs Radric Davis was released fifteen years ago on December 8, 2009, with southern trap producers Drumma Boy, Fatboi, and Zaytoven behind the boards for a majority of the album along with contributions from Jazze Pha, Scott Storch, and Mannie Fresh among others. The album spawned four singles with the first one, "Wasted" featuring a Warner label mate and Florida rapper Plies, leading to one of Gucci's first charting singles.  Another hit single "Lemonade" was recently revisited by Logic and chopped up for "Mission Control" off his recent Ultra 85 album.  The album stayed true to its trap-style roots while expanding the genre with features from R&B stars Usher, Bobby V, and Keyshia Cole.  Another fan-favorite track brings together Houston rappers Bun B and Devin the Dude with Bay Area legend E-40 on "Kush is My Cologne."

A fan favorite of Gucci's 100+ mixtapes and studio albums, The State vs Radric Davis has never been released on vinyl until now.  Get On Down is proud to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the album with a limited edition pressing.  The album is pressed on orange color-in-color vinyl and packaged in a gatefold jacket with a 15-year Anniversary commemorative OBI limited to 1000 copies.  The album is available to preorder now and will ship in late January/early February.
